I had a fabulous (but exhausting) wedding weekend! Myranda and John are now married and celebrating in the Dominican Republic! Oh, I am jealous! Myranda was a beautiful bride, and the whole day went so smoothly! Congratulations to the Petersons!

My wonderful sister did our hair and make-up - here she is doing Jaclyn's hair -

So, no wedding is complete without an "after party" - this is my favorite picture from the night...Brad and I were having a dance off! Ha - hilarious!

My bulletin board is not looking so covered anymore - Brad and I have one more party this weekend, and then we have a break until September! I never knew that so many people could get married at one time! Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend!

Blessings, y'all!

Kailyn Renee.

One of the best parts of my 4th of July holiday was getting to FINALLY meet up with one of my best friends, Alys and her 7-month-old baby girl, Kailyn! I met up with Alys and Kailyn and our other good friend, Diane at Starbucks. We had a blast, and I cannot wait for Alys to come back so I can see her again! Here are some pictures of our visit...

Me getting to hold Kailyn for the first time - please forgive me for my appearance! I was looking rough! Ha!

Sweet Kailyn! I love you so much!

My good friend, Diane, getting some snuggle time with Kailyn!

Don't you just want to eat her up???

I LOVE those chubby legs!

Kisses from mommy!

Isn't Alys GORGEOUS????

My life for the past two weeks...

I have decided to take my blog off of private - I am going to try it out for a while, and if it goes well, I'll keep it open. I want to be able to connect with other bloggers, and I feel like while I'm private, that is not exactly an option!

Anyways, back to the reasoning behind my post - updating y'all on my life for the past two weeks! Most of my days have been occupied with working at the shop, which has been A-MAZING! For those of you who have been wondering, I was offered a position at a middle school, but I have decided not to take the position for many reasons. Although I would love to work in the school system, I'm not completely ready to take that step. Taking the job would mean a huge life change for Brad and myself - new job, new degree, etc. etc. etc. So, for the time being, I will continue to work at the shop, which is right up my alley. We are preparing to launch a new website, have a Christmas in July event, and make a lot of new changes! I love working with small businesses, and I am enjoying working a job that has pretty much ZERO stress!

Besides work, my nights and weekends have been full of parties, showers and weddings! Summer is definitely the time for weddings, and it hasn't been any different for me!

One of the first weddings that Brad and I attended was for Jennifer and Matthew. Jennifer and I are sorority sisters and good friends! I loved seeing so many of my sisters, and we had a great time! The reception had a very tropical feel, so of course, the flowers were GORGEOUS! Best wishes to Jennifer and Matthew!

The bride and groom during the toast.
DIAMONDS at the reception!
Tropical flower arrangements - Brad and I at the reception - excuse the hot mess that is me - it was SO HOT!

Keeping up with the bridal/wedding theme, I threw a luncheon for my very dear friend and sorority sister, Myranda. I am in her wedding in July, so I wanted to be sure that everything was perfect for her. Here are a few pictures from our Southern luncheon -

The set-up at my house - we were going to do it outside, but it rained all day!

The "best wishes" banner I made out of scrapbook paper. And yes, I did use the CRICUT!!!

The menu for the luncheon - I wrote it out on my antique chalkboard!

Flower arrangement in a silver pitcher -

Myranda opening gifts - everyone loves a monogrammed acrylic tray!

Some of the ladies after the luncheon -

This past Friday, we had an ice cream supper at my grandparents' church. Momma and I did a few flower arrangements for the evening - here are a few pictures...

This is my flower arrangement I made -

This is the arrangement my momma made -

Brad and I after the ice cream supper -

On Saturday night, Brad and I had TWO parties to attend. Our first stop was a shrimp boil for Myranda and John - here is the happy couple opening gifts -

Katie and I with the bride - again, excuse the mess, it was so freaking humid! Typical Tennessee summer!

Second stop was a Luau for Rachel and Alex. I didn't take many pictures, but I thought the picture below captured all the fun we had! That's me (in the blue) with another sister, Mallory!

So, that's everything in a nutshell! God has been working wonders in my life, and I seriously don't think that I have been this happy and stress-free in quite some time. I am going to work very hard to keep my blog updated for those of you who are faithful readers, and I am going to try and get caught up on everyone's lives!

Blessings, y'all!

A heartfelt thank you.

First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your kind thoughts, emails and prayers. You have no idea how much that all means to me. Although I am still shocked and confused, I feel that God has been preparing my heart for this for a few months now.

I loved my job very much, but I already feel a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. I am so excited about the many opportunities that are waiting for me.

I cannot not thank my family enough for all of their kindness and thoughtfulness. Although the next few months will be extremely difficult for Brad and myself - financial wise - I know that we will make it. God will provide.

There are a lot of things going on with my termination that are very sticky, so please pray that things will end swiftly so that I can move on from this. Also pray that my heart will not stay bitter. At first, I was devastated. I cried for almost 3 days straight. Now I'm mad, and I don't like the way I feel.

Throughout all of this, Brad and I almost forgot about our one-year anniversary is on Monday! We are not doing gifts as we are trying to save as much money as possible, but we did purchase something for a very good price - more details to come on Monday!

My mom has kept me very busy each day (she owns her own cleaning business, so I've been helping her), and that has helped me tremendously. Brad has gone to Kentucky with my dad for the weekend to watch my brother play Western Kentucky in baseball, so momma and I have the whole weekend to do lots of little projects to complete! One project involves making a homemade fountain for my patio! I'm so excited - hopefully, it will go as well as we hope!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings to you!

New shoes.

I finally picked out a dress for the tea - I got a cute yellow and green spring dress, but I was stressing about the shoes. But I didn't stress long, because I found the cutest green and white gingham shoes (pictured below). They are going to look so cute with my dress - I can't wait until next week!

Here are my new favorite shoes - I'm breaking them in today! I seriously love these shoes!
I've been playing with my blog template this morning, but I have learned that I know nothing about html and all that computer jargon. I really want to change my fonts, but I have no idea how to stray away from the standard blogger fonts. Does someone know how to do it easily? I really want a new background and blog "makeover" - that's one thing on my list to get someday. But today, I'll just get by with a few color changes! Ha!

Praise the Lord, this has been a wonderful week! My sweet husband started his new job in Nashville last week - he has to leave really early in the morning, but he gets to come home early, too! He put in his notice at his second job (he worked a few nights a week), and I have LOVED having him home with me every single night! I do miss him in the mornings, though :( We always got ready together, but at least I get him all to myself when I get home!

I'm so ready for the weekend...my very best friend, Diane, is graduating from college! She is having a graduation party on Saturday night, and I can't wait! I'm trying to decide what to get her for graduation - did y'all get anything that you just LOVED? One of my friends got me a cute green business card holder with some adorable social cards - it was seriously my favorite gift. Diane is graduating with a degree in fashion merchandising, and I'm just drawing a blank!

Diane has been my best friend since kindergarten, and I'm so happy for her - here we are at a Christmas party this past year...

I hope you are all enjoying your week! Only 1 week and a day until the High Tea event! I cannot wait!!!!!!

Blessings, y'all!

WELCOME TO THE BLOGGING WORLD...

I was reading through some comments on a previous post, and I noticed a comment from one of my favorite people ever, Jaclyn!

Jaclyn is a sister in Christ and ADPi - she is seriously the CUTEST and SWEETEST gal you will ever meet! She is engaged to her sweetheart, Michael (who played MTSU baseball with my brother), and they are the most precious couple ever! We are both in a wedding together in July, and I can't wait to spend some much-needed time with her!

Jaclyn has told me before that she read my blog, and I have been waiting for her to start one! I'm so excited you have joined the blogging world, Jaclyn! I love you very much, and I hope to see you soon!
My sweet sister, Jaclyn - is she not just adorable???

The weekend.

It was a busy weekend for the Warnocks - here is a recap of what we did....

Friday night, we went to Golden Eagle, a Mongolian stirfry restaurant, with Ben and Emily. If you live near Murfreesboro, you need to check this place out! You get a bowl, fill it up with anything you could want (chicken, seafood, veggies), pick rice or noodles, and you have the best dinner! Ben and Emily are getting married in July, and I hope we will get to hang out more often!

Here is Ben with his fortune cookie fortune - it said "you will do very well in the computer field" - which is crazy because Ben works in the IT department at a local bank! Ha!

On Saturday, I worked all day at a fundraiser we had a Barnes & Noble. It was a long day, but at least I got to spend it at a bookstore! My cousins, Tessa and Tye, stopped by as well.

Here I am with the crazy kiddos - can you tell Tessa has been dressing herself? She had on white leggings, a green and pink top and leopard print boots! Ha!

Tye got a firetruck book and a schoolbus book - here he is modeling his firetruck book!

My mom and I made a trip to a local nursery on Saturday morning so I could make this pretty arrangement for a shower I was hosting on Sunday. I love this arrangement so much, all I have to do is put it in a pot, and I can enjoy it all summer long!

We also made close to 50 cupcakes for the shower - we made lemon, strawberry and chocolate. I am offically obsessed with lemon cupcakes.

We played a fun game with Rachel, the bride. We asked her 15 questions about her groom and for every question she got wrong, she had to put a marshmallow in her mouth. At this point, I think she had 3 or 4 in there! Ha!

Rachel is my ADPi little diamond sister, and I am so happy for her! Here I am with Rachel and Melissa, another ADPi who helped host. We were supposed to have the shower in our chapter room, but the school is kicking all of the sororities out of their chapter rooms, so we had to have it in a lecture hall! Hey, sometimes you have to improvise!
The invitations were red and yellow, so we tried to make all the decorations match. Of course, all the ADPi girls were commenting that we were using Chi-O's colors! Ha, I do love those Chi-Os!

I'm exhausted this morning - and I'm FREEZING!!!!

What is up with this weather!???!!!

Blessings, y'all!

Where have I been???????

So, my sweet bloggy friend, Caroline, asked for an update....so here it is!
I apologize for my lack of posting, I was sick on Monday with a nasty stomach virus, felt better on Tuesday, and today I feel worse than I did on Monday - YUCK. As I am posting, I'm in my cozy bed with sprite and saltine crackers within my reach. Ha!
So here is a breakdown of what I've been doing...
CELEBRATING MY 24th BIRTHDAY!
Friday was my birthday, and it was such a fabulous day! So many of my old friends were in town for Easter, and I was so excited to see so many of them! I had a wonderful birthday lunch at Goodness Gracious complete with fruit tea, chicken puffs, tortellini salad and pineapple and cheese casserole - the best part was that April got to come along as well, and I got an especially wonderful gift from her...
This is one of her adorable button rings that she gave me - you can purchase them HERE. I love it, April!
Brad's parents sent me The Patriarchs - I was so excited to open it as I have NOT been able to find it here! Thank you, Marcia and Ron!
My family took me to my favorite Mexican restaurant that night - here I am, complete with sombrero and sopapilla!

On Saturday, I cleaned the house because Brad and I were hosting Easter lunch at our home. We did a lot of work outside (mowed our yard for the first time!), and it was BEAUTIFUL outside. Too bad the warm weather didn't stick around for Easter Sunday. I also volunteered at church with nursery duty. My church had two services for Easter this year, and one was on Saturday night, so I volunteered with the 3-year olds. We had 10 three-year olds in my cube, and there were over 97 three-year olds there for the entire night! It was a packed night for a first ever Saturday night Easter celebration!

On Sunday, we celebrated Easter at our annual Easter Celebration - each Easter, my church has Easter service at the local university basketball arena, we invite the whole community, and it is a HUGE celebration of Christ! This year was no different!

Here I am with my mother and grandmother. Notice my cute jacket? That was a gift from my sweet husband for my birthday - I LOVE it, Brad!

Brad and I at the Easter Celebration.

We always have a special guest at the Easter Celebration - this year Diamond Rio was our special guest! I'm not a huge fan, but they were great! They are actually releasing a Christian album sometime this year. Here's a picture of Diamond Rio - sorry the picture is a little dark!

After the service, everyone came back to our house for lunch. And what Easter lunch is complete without an EASTER EGG HUNT??? Here is the front of my house with some hidden eggs....can you find them?

Brad was in charge of hiding eggs in the front yard, so most of the eggs were impossible to find. Tessa did find this one...

We hid over 250 eggs for two kids - how crazy are we???? They did have a blast, and they were looking cute as always! Here they are after the egg hunt.

After finding eggs, we decided to break out the sidewalk chalk and play a little hopscotch. Pretty sure I was AMAZING! Ha!

After hopscotch, we started tracing each other with the sidewalk chalk. Here I am with Tessa and the tracing of my body that she did - see the resemblance???

We had a FABULOUS Easter weekend, and I had an amazing birthday. Thank you for all the sweet wishes! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings, y'all!
